Being a junglist and a programmer simultaneously can be confusing.
An announcement on the general PHP PEAR newsgroup for a new release of the XML_SaxFilters package included this caveat:

And people wonder why I always have headphones on whilst coding. I’m usually listening to Dieselboy (Pittsburgh reprazent!) or some other breaks-heavy music. I even type to the beat. people wonder about my rhythm when I’m listening to “Kaiser Salsek” by Goldie, or “6.07” by Plug. The guy next to me asked me once if “I played drums or something”.<br />

Without music at my desk, the chatty cathys over the wall would have driven me apeshit a long time ago.<br />
